While these would make make a cute holiday card, I think they are sweet as a thank you note or birthday card all winter! A fun pop of color and simple 3D make these special to give and easy to make.
What you need:

Begin by cutting a sheet of blue card-stock in half and discard one half. Only one half is used. This will be a full sized card unless modified. Cut a 1 to 2 inch strip off the bottom of a piece of computer paper and discard the strip.

Cut the computer paper from top left corner to bottom right corner in a shallow curve. (see picture) This is the hill. Discard the top piece. Fold the hill in half and fold it again to create the 3D effect and glue half of the hill to the card.

Cut 5 steep triangles out of the green paper for trees. This isn't a pristine craft, so don't worry about making your trees all the same. Glue the trees onto the hill and wait for the glue to dry. Make sure the trees aren't glued so that they are holding the pop up part of the card down.
While the glue is drying a bit, cut a second sheet of computer paper for the backside and spell a message. Look for some cool lettering ideas in this category.

Once the glue is dry add doodles such as snowflakes and snow banks to the front with pens.

That's it! Send your creation to a friend with a flurry of snowflakes and wintery greetings!
