A super easy and super cute way to let someone know you care. This handmade card is better than a pre made one and creating the layered flowers takes as little time as driving to the store takes. All you need are a few basic supplies and scraps of paper! What you need: Step one: Gather the scrapbooking paper and cut out two or three dozen petals, between one and two inches in length. Step two: Fold the sheet of card stock in half and mark a dot where you want the flower to go. Step three: Glue a sparse ring of petals around the dot, but not on it. Step four: Glue a second ring of petals on top of the first. Step five: Glue a third ring, this time in the center, covering the dot. Step six: Glue the button to the center of the flower. I used hot glue to make sure it would stay put. School glue is not always strong enough. Step seven: Decorate the inside with a few flower doodles or scraps of paper. And your done! : )

Create a whole collection of fun bookmarks to hold your place and add a cheery burst of color or motivational quote to the page. What you need: For the bookmark: card stock paper; stickers; paper punch outs; pens; scissors; glue Step one: Cut a rectangle out of card stock 8 in by 2 in, with rounded corners. Step 2: Decorate! Step three: Set the bookmark aside and move on to the tassel. You will only need embroidery floss and scissors for this. Step four: Pull out a section of embroidery floss, but don't cut it. Wrap it around three fingers, then when you've reached the desired thickness, cut it. Slide the coils off of your fingers, taking care not to let them unwind. Step five: Cut a short piece of embroidery floss and thread it through the coils as shown. Step six: Cut a third piece of embroidery floss and tie it around the loops, dividing them into one large and one small section. Cut the loops at one end. Step seven: Punch a hole in the bookmark and tie the tassel through the hole. Ta da! One beautiful bookmark. Now make a whole bunch! : )

This cute hair accessory is easy to make and versatile for different styles and hair cuts. I originally designed it to wrap around a ballet bun, but the more experimenting I did the more sweet styles I discovered! What you need: Step one: remove the flowers from the stems, then cut off the short piece of stem attached to the flower. For a large bun, use 7-8 flowers, for a small bun 5-6 flowers. Discard stems. Step two: Cut a length of cord approximately 18 inches long. Step three: Remove the artificial leaves from the stem. The leaves I had were large so I cut them down to size. However many flowers you are using, gather just as many leaves plus one. Step four: Using the needle and thread, attach the leaves to the cord. Stitch straight through the leaf and the cord until all the leaves are attached. Step five: Repeat with the flowers, sewing one flower between each leaf. And your done!
