With Mothers' Day coming up, it's time to get fancy! Rather than simple and cute, this card takes more time but is beautiful. Whatever the occasion, this special card shows you care.
What you need:

Fold a full sized sheet of card stock in half. Next, cut out a tree trunk and branches from brown scrapbooking paper. The branches will be mostly covered by leaves, so no need for perfect branches.

Glue the tree to the front face of the card stock. Now comes the tedious part: cutting leaves. Better get busy! For a nice full tree you'll need a lot of leaves. The picture will be more interesting if you use multiple patterns and shades of green paper, as shown. You could even do rainbow leaves for a bright birthday card!

Glue the leaves to the branches, covering most of the brown paper. I did a lot of leaves on this card, entirely covering the branches. If you like the way that looks, go for it, but there's no need to cut and glue so many leaves. You can leave the tree as is, or cut little pastel flowers out to add a floral feel. When you're finished, write a message in the middle of the tree.

Birds add a cheery note to the inside!

And you're done! Experiment with different colors and messages for different occasions.
I realized after writing this post that the card in the instructions is a birthday card. 🤦🏼♀️ The one below with pink flowers is a Mother's Day card though. Laugh all you like, I'm laughing at myself all the time. : )
