True Beauty

One summer I did a book study with a couple of friends on a book called True Beauty, by Carolyn Mahaney and Nicole Whitcare. The book is about inward beauty, concentrating on being pleasing to God rather than focusing on outward appearance. The book does a fantastic job of addressing issues that girls and women often come across in our culture and how to act in a Christian way, without being overbearing. The authors really seem to understand how difficult it can be to focus on inward beauty rather than outward and are writing to help, not crush down on sin.

To remind myself of all the things the Bible has to say about the beauty of God and inward beauty, I created a collage of Bible verses and quotes. I love having this colorful reminder up on the wall.
