This simple up-do is beautiful and fun to experiment with. The twist by itself is makes me feel like a fairy or a goddess, but I also love creating new hairstyles based on this hairdo. Check out my ideas below for waterfall hairdos.
How to do a twist:

Begin by separating the hair closest to your face on one side. Twist the hair a few times, then section off another part and add it to the first part, twisting as you add. Keep adding sections and twisting until the twist is a little behind your ear.

Pin the hair and repeat on the other side. Use as much hair as you want and twist it as tight as you want. Go for a loose look or a tight up-do.

For braids with twists:

Divide your hair into two parts for two braids before starting. Section off the front hair and twist as shown before. End this twist right behind the ear and pin it. Repeat on the other side.

Braid the sections into two standard three strand braid. Super cute!
For an elegant bun:

Begin with the twisted braids shown above. Use a pony tail holder to tie them off at the back of your head. Spiral the braids up into a bun and secure with pins. You might want to take the pony tail holders at the ends of the braids off so they won't show in your bun. This makes for a very beautiful hairdo fit for special occasions. This is how I styled my hair for a dance in a musical. :)

For cute pigtails twist the hair as done before for the braids, and simply tie the hair off rather than braiding it. For a low ponytail twist the hair, starting at the front as usual, all the way to the back so that the two twists join. Tie all the hair off in a ponytail. For a side ponytail start a twist only on one side and twist it all the way around to the other side and tie it off.
